Debutants Bombay Republicans were unfortunate to concede a goal from a penalty stroke losing 1-2 to Western Railway (WR) in a Super Division match of the Mumbai Hockey Association Limited League held at the MHAL Mahindra Stadium yesterday.

Republicans secured a lead in the first half lead, courtesy Vikram Yadav in the 12th minute. However, WR managed to restore parity through Manjinder Singh in the 57th minute.
