Residents panicked when they realised that the structure had shifted from its usual position. The NMMC disaster officials were immediately informed about the situation who reached the spot and vacated the families living in it.
The ground plus two storeyed building had three families living in it on rent. Shantaram Sutar, owner of the building said that the structure was 30-year-old and they would now demolish the same to avoid any kind of accident.
He added, “The families who had been staying in the building said that they felt something was wrong when the items of their home started shaking at around 7 pm on Monday evening.” The families have currently been shifted to a municipality school in the vicinity.
