Revati started the day with a bang as she scored an upset win against top seed Riya Pillai winning the girls’ U-19 Group-A match 15-21, 21-18, 21-19.

She later returned to the court for her U-17 Group-B match against statemate Vibhuti Agarwal and went on to win comfortably at 21-10, 21-8.

In boys’ under-17, the top two seeds, Arshalan Naqvi of UP and Daniel Farid S of Karnataka won their opening matches. Naqvi defeated Karnataka’s Harshit Aggarwal 21-16, 21-15 and Farid tamed Chaitanya K P of AP 21-15, 21-18.u00a0
