Revealed! Kumble's first message to Dhoni, Kohli as India coach

Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble was appointed the head coach of the Indian national cricket team yesterday and he wasted no time in addressing the two captains - Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli

Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble was appointed the head coach of the Indian national cricket team yesterday and he wasted no time in addressing the two captains - Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

Kumble immediately took to social networking site Twitter with a message for Dhoni and Kohli.

His message for Kohli after the latter congratulated him on his new post was: 'Thanks @imVkohli looking forward to working with you and team India'

He also went on to congratulate Dhoni on the recent Zimbabwe tour win saying: '@msdhoni congratulations for winning in Zimbabwe. Look forward to working with you and team India.'.

Kumble also went on to thank all his well wishers - past and present cricketers - who flooded his account with wishes.

Anil Kumble pipped Ravi Shastri to be appointed as head coach for the team for a tenure of one year. This was due to the fact that the former cricketer has no experience in the mentioned designation.

His first job as coach will be the upcoming tour to the West Indies next month.

It will be interesting to see how Kumble will attempt to create chemistry between himself and India's Test and ODI captain respectively.
