On a gloomy Sunday afternoon, the team of 'Haseena Parkar', which features Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor and Ankur Bhatia, along with the captain of the ship, director Apoorva Lakhia, revealed some interesting facets exclusively to mid-day.
While the team was narrating the challenges and the process they went through while filming, mid-day asked Shraddha Kapoor about her first reaction when she saw her brother Siddhanth Kapoor enacting the character of Dawood Ibrahim.
Did she get emotional?
The actress revealed, "In the film, our father is mercilessly hitting Dawood (Siddhanth) with a belt. Although it was a prosthetic belt, he was hitting him so hard that I could feel him getting hurt. It looked that natural."
Director Apoorva Lakhia cuts in, "She wept endlessly. For the first time, she had seen somebody hit her brother with a belt. She really cried a lot. It is one of my favourite scenes and I've retained that shot of her crying."

Further talking about the scene, Apoorva shared, "Dawood had already eaten his food, and he was asking for more. Therefore, his father hits him and warns everyone in the house to not provide him with extra food, and throws him out of the house. They belonged to a very poor family. So, Haseena (Shraddha) saves her share of food (2 pieces of bread and gravy) and secretly gives it to her brother to eat."
This scene explains the beautiful chemistry between the brother-sister and this is the first scene for the public in the film 'Haseena Parkar'.
With too much back and forth in the release date, the makers have finally settled down on September 22, and will have a tussle with Sanjay Dutt's most-anticipated comeback film 'Bhoomi'.
