In an interview to Jang daily, Ashraf said Whatmore, who was in-charge of Sri Lanka during their famous World Cup win in 1996, and Rhodes are being seriously considered as the chief coach and the fielding coach.

The PCB had last month advertised for the positions of batting, bowling and fielding coaches and had received about 15 applications from interested candidates.  The PCB had also received 37 applications in response to the advertisements for the post of head coach after the resignation of Waqar Younis.
