Rizvi Springfield's Sarfaraz Khan, who was named man of the series during the recently held Coca Cola Cup U-16 school cricket tournament, might get a chance to train in the United Kingdom.
The 15-year-old all-rounder, whose biggest achievement is breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s 21-year-old Harris Shield record (346) with a 439-run knock in 2009, is the only shortlisted player from Mumbai.u00a0

The three best players of the Coca Cola tournament will be flown to England for five weeks as part of a three-year programme focussed on grooming the youngsters, informed the organisers.
If selected, Sarfaraz will attend the summer semester while staying with a family in England, informed a source. The organisers confirmed that the right-arm off-spinner is being considered for the programme: “Yes, Sarfaraz is shortlisted.
But till we do not get the three-year contract papers signed from their side (players), we cannot declare the names officially. Also, the visa formalities need to be completed. We will announce the final names once all the procedures are completed.”u00a0
