Stuttgart (Germany): Dominic Thiem came through a pair of rain delay distractions to stun top seed Roger Federer 3-6, 7-6 (9/7), 6-4 on Saturday for a place in the Stuttgart final.
The French Open semi-finalist who moved into the ATP top 10 only this week, produced the biggest win of his promising career after defeating the Swiss great on clay last month in Rome.

Third seed Thiem will play for his fourth title of the season today.
Roger gets past Ivan Lendl on Friday Meanwhile, Federer, on Friday beat Florian Mayer 7-6 (7/2), 7-6 (7/1) to move ahead of Ivan Lendl to stand second in career match wins with his 1,072 victories putting him behind Jimmy Connors (1,256).
