Jagmohan Mundhra is currently shooting for Apartment with Neetu Chandra and Tanushree Dutta.
This is the same film that the director launched last year as Roommates with Gul Panag and Raima Sen. Jag admits, "Yes, it is. The project was earlier titled Roommates. Things changed as well as the cast."
Project given a rethink
At that time, One Thought Entertain-ment were slated to produce the film. Pakistani actor Mikaal Zulfiqar (who featured in Mundhra's Naseer-starrer Shoot On Sight) had been pencilled in as the hero.

"But after 26/11, I could not work with a Pakistani actor. As a result, the project had to be given a rethink with a new producer," says Jag, who earlier directed the Aishwarya Rai-starrer Provoked.
Apartment is produced by Magna Films and the cast includes Rohit Roy and Anupam Kher. "Rohit is doing the role that Mikaal was slated to do," adds the director.
Rao nodded then said no
It is learnt that Jag originally wanted Amrita Rao to be part of the project. The actress had heard the script and given her nod but then she mentioned a date issue and moved out.
The film is penned by Syed Gulrez an associate of Mundra. It is described to be an urbane edge-of-the-seat thriller. An item number on Jennifer Mayani has also been picturised for Apartment.
"We have shot at a film awards event as I wanted a real feel to it as well as at a known Chinese restaurant in the city," says Jag, who is currently also working on Chase with Anuj Saxena and Udita Goswami.
