Actor Rushad Rana, popular for "Hip Hip Hurray!", will soon be seen in a mythological series called "Upanishad Ganga". He will play the role of Satyadharama.
The serial, based on the teachings of Upanishads will depict Rushad as a US-returned boy, who finds interest in studying Upanishads.
"The character of Satyadharama is much like me. He comes down to Benaras to learn Upanishads from a professor whom he has only read about.
Though I have not studied Upanishads, but being a graduate in philosophy, such studies do interest me and so I would love to read them," said Rana, who was also seen in movies like "Veer-Zaara", "Mod" and "Dor".
The serial will go on air on DD March 11. Produced by Chinmaya Mission, the show is directed by the veteran Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
