Hugh Jackman, 44, has played Wolverine in five films and is currently shooting the sixth - 'The Wolverine', which will hit theatres next year and is grateful to Crowe for his breakout action movie casting, reported Digital Spy online.
"Bryan Singer asked Rusty (Crowe) to do Wolverine, and he said, 'Nah mate I've just done Gladiator, it's not for me but you should look at this guy...'," Jackman said.
The pair will next be seen together in 'Les Miserables'. "He's a great guy in every way, I have so much time for him and to watch him work. Everyone says he is a great actor, when you actually get to work with someone like that," he said.
"He's that good when it matters, in that moment, in that close up tough moment, you just sit back and watch you know someone's got that confidence and is going to deliver. I learnt a lot from him," he added. "The Wolverine" will hit theatres on July 25 in the UK and July 26 in the US next year. The film's first trailer is scheduled to arrive in early 2013.
