Russian athletes must ignore lavish parties and cultural exhibitions at the Olympics and focus on training rather than “fooling around”, prime minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with his deputy Dmitry Kozak, who oversees Olympic preparations.
“Why should the athletes go out and about? They must train. Whoever wants to visit them can do so, but the athletes must train and be permanently in fighting form,” said Medvedev.
