He's left blinking when he seems me in my party gear when a few minutes earlier I was in sneakers and casuals. Often I inform my driver that we'll be leaving for a party in 5 minutes. He barely manages to get the car out of the parking lot and I'm all dressed, ready to leave.
He says, Madam, aap already aa gayeen! (You're already here!)" And if you're wondering how she manages to doll up so quickly, well, she thanks her theatre background for it. "Thespians are the most prepared people. We sometimes only get 35 seconds to change our outfits during a play, so we can't afford the luxury of time when it comes to dressing up."
