Mumbai Indians are hopeful about Sachin Tendulkar recovering in time for their Qualifier II against Rajasthan Royals in Kolkata on Friday.
A media statement issued by the franchise last night, said: “On investigations we have found that there is some swelling on the wrist and around one of the tendons of his left hand. u00a0We have addressed this with an injection in his hand by a hand and wrist specialist. He is currently under rehab and is progressing well.

The normal recovery time for this injury is around three weeks. However, rehab results in the past nine days have shown reasonable improvement and we are hopeful to get him back in action as soonu00a0as possible.” Tendulkar injured his left wrist while batting in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 13.

Meanwhile, pacer Dhawal Kulkarni has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament due to a side strain.u00a0
