A media statement issued by the franchise last night, said: “On investigations we have found that there is some swelling on the wrist and around one of the tendons of his left hand. We have addressed this with an injection in his hand by a hand and wrist specialist. He is currently under rehab and is progressing well.
The normal recovery time for this injury is around three weeks. However, rehab results in the past nine days have shown reasonable improvement and we are hopeful to get him back in action as soon as possible.” Tendulkar injured his left wrist while batting in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 13.
