Malegaon blast accused Pragyau00a0 Singh Thakur's condition was reported as stable after she suffered a mild cardiac arrest last night.

According to sources, she was being treated for back pain and other health issues at an ayurvedic hospital in Nashik.

Thakur was rushed to the Nashik Civil Hospital around 10.30 pm after she complained of severe chest pain and breathlessness. The doctor at the hospital diagnosed it as a mild heart attack and she was immediately admitted to the ICU.

When MiD DAY checked with the hospital at midnight, doctors said her condition was stable and she did not need surgery. She was not on life support, but was kept under observation.

The sadhvi had sought special permission to get treatment at an ayurvedic hospital and had refused to eat when she was admitted to the civil hospital earlier.

Both blasts were said to be of low intensity. There had been confusion earlier about what had caused the blast with some suggesting that it was caused by an accidental explosion of a gas cylinder. But the police later confirmed that the blast was a terrorist attack.

ABUSED?
The sadhvi was admitted to the civil hospital in March after complaining of weakness but she refused treatment and even food demanding that the inspector general of police of the Nashik Jail and a local court judge meet her personally. She alleged that she was being abused by jail superintendent Swati Sathe.
