Underworld goons tried to kidnap Salman Khan's trainer Abdulla Khan and extort Rs 1 cr

Five men allegedly attempted to kidnap Salman Khan's fitness trainer Abdulla Khan outside a shopping mall in Bandra. The men arrived in a white Swift and one of the kidnappers allegedly threatened Abdulla with a revolver. However, Abdulla raised an alarm and the men fled the scene. The incident took place on April 26 around 6.30 pm.

In his FIR (CR no 152/09), the massive 6-footer said that he was receiving threat calls from the underworld, and was told to cough up Rs 1 crore.

He also named Baitullah Khan, nephew of Bollywood actor Kader Khan, hotelier Ali Raza and Parvez Sayyed, a health food supplier, as the people who were threatening him with extortion calls.

Police records indicate thatu00a0 the needle of suspicion points to gangster D K Rao, Chhota Rajan's right-hand man in Mumbai. It is suspected that the gangster was acting at the behest of matka kingpin Hitesh Bhagat and Suhas Roge.

"We have registered Abdulla's case, and are gathering details," said Senior Inspector Prakash George from Bandra police station.

It's believed that Bhagat wanted Abdulla to pay Rs 1 crore in two installments to lawyer Vikas Pawa, after the matka king was booked under MCOCA in connection with an accident at Alibag in 2007.

Six persons were killed in the crash, including Bhagat's father Suresh, raising questions whether it was a murder.
It appears the money never exchanged hands, and therefore Parvez tried to recover the money from Abdulla by abducting him.

Were they cops?

In his complaint, Abdulla also mentioned that the five unidentified men looked like policemen to him.
He claims that one of the men showed him an I-card with the Mumbai police emblem on it.
When he raised an alarm, they panicked and fled the scene.

Who is Abdulla Khan?
Abdulla Khan was working as a line producer with Sohail Khan Productions before he replaced Manish Advilkar as Salman Khan's gym trainer.

He was introduced to Matka king Hitesh Bhagat in 2006, after which they met on several occasions.
