10 birthday gifts that Salman Khan will funnily cherish on his big day today
Even as Salman Khan hits the golden jubilee mark today and birthday greetings and wishes from industry folk and zillions of his fans pour in, the star is in a celebratory mood. But what do you gift Bollywood’s leading star who is loved and truly blessed with a fiercely loyal fan following? The star is known for his generosity and kindness, as well as his sense of humour that’s enough to keep you in splits. As Sallu can be genuinely funny and it is the season to be jolly, we take a light-hearted look at birthday presents we would like to gift the star.
This goes well with his infectious laughter — his deep resonating cackle is enough to raise the laughter quotient. And this would add to the mirth and bring the house down. The star would remember this from his younger days in the 1980s. The laugh bag covered in cloth had a button which when pressed would start cackling at a loud pitch and volume. The sound was infectious. It would make a person laugh uncontrollably and everyone around would embark on a laughter challenge.
Deal with the ex guide
The witty star loves to take potshots at his former flame, Katrina Kaif. Though the buzz is that she has told him to refrain from doing so. A handy tome will help him steer clear of saying things like he had given her a chance to be Katrina Khan, but she chooses to be Katrina Kapoor (as he had remarked during his sister Arpita Khan’s wedding last year). Once he has read the book, Kat can be rest assured that there will be no more digs and things will be cordial when they come face-to-face. So there will be no more, “Katrina is very hardworking. She rehearses for five to six days for every song. Today whatever Katrina is, her success rate is because of her sheer hard work. I am very talented so I don’t have to work hard.”
Not because he can take catnaps every now and then, but due to his tendency to plonk himself on the floor or lie down on his side while hosting reality show, Bigg Boss. His casual demeanour during the show will go well with the mattress.
Coat hanger stand
Now Sallu loves to take off his jacket ever so often, especially on television. He normally lets it fall clumsily on the floor for one of the unit hands to pick up. Imagine having a coat hanger around, perhaps with a few more jackets. He could get in and out of as many coats as he wants without the creases showing.
A short sleeve shirt
Without fail, the star, within minutes of his appearance on the TV show, starts rolling up his sleeves. Pick a shirt with short sleeves and there is no need for rolling up. Hot/cold travelling mug Knowing his penchant for sipping on his cuppa every now and then during the show, this is a must have accessory. This will prove handy instead of having a unit hand pass on the mug.
Online dance class
Sallu never rehearses his dance steps and adds his own bits. He can be a choreographer’s nightmare. As 50 is the new 20, he can learn the ropes. Perhaps his Hum Aapke Hain Koun co-star, Madhuri Dixit Nene, can teach him the art of getting jiggy through her online dance academy.
The stout, laughing bald man with an overtly exposed pot-belly stomach, the celestial Buddha is said to bring a smile to anyone’s face. It is also considered a good luck charm. Having it around would keep Salman from facing any more bad luck, especially on the personal front.
Kids play arena
Salman adores children; he dotes on not just his nieces and nephews, but the kids of his near and dear ones he loves to play uncle to. When he sees a kid, the star is known to go out of his way to baby-talk with them. The star can have a whale of time with the tots at play. He is known to become one of them, after all.
Deepika Padukone has reportedly said that she would like to gift him a bride for his big day, but the country’s best known bachelor is known to have an eye for woemn with foreign roots. Perhaps a Western import will add to the unity in diversity in the Khan household.
