Salman's big plans for next year

He hasn’t had a single release so far this year, but it looks like Salman Khan is already planning his next year’s big releases. Considering that the release date determines the kind of opening a big star film will register, it is learnt that the actor is scheduling his next film with Sooraj Barjatya for Eid 2013 and brother Sohail’s next directorial venture for Christmas later in the year.

Buzz in the trade is that Salman is so upbeat about Bade Bhaiyya, Sooraj’s next, his full fledged film with the Barjatya banner after Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999) that he has decided to advance the production.

“Initially, Sooraj’s film was to start in February next year. But now, Salman is so enthusiastic about the script and working again with his director buddy that he has decided to prepone it to November,” says our source.

No run-in with Hrithik
Interestingly, Salman was first considering Diwali 2013 for Sooraj’s film. But since Hrithik Roshan’s superhero film has already fixed it as the release date, Khan decided to avoid a clash. As our source says, “Besides, it didn’t mak3 e good business sense to face a division of collections when one can do without it.”

Needless to say, the actor is eager to wrap up the Barjatya film by March. So they have ample time for post-production and consequently, aggressive promotion to release it on Eid next year. And after finishing this film, Salman will start working for Sohail’s Sher Khan.

As our source tells us, “ With Arbaaz’s film scheduled to release this Christmas, Salman felt the need to block next year-end too. More so, since no other film has been scheduled for Christmast 2013.u00a0
