The small, seven-race card at Pune yesterday was dominated by two riders--A Sandesh and PS Chouhan, both of whom won two races each. The latter began the day with a neck victory astride horse owner Jaydev Mody's We Break The Rules over long shot Orion's Belt who had almost made it when Chouhan squeezed all juice out of the Cooji Katrak ward, and then got an armchair ride on the Nosher Cama-saddled Gazino, carrying the same silks, who left his hapless rivals stone cold when going away for a facile victory of over half-a-dozen lengths.
Jockey A Sandesh first scored astride trainer Hosidar Daji's Simon Says at the odds of 5-to-1 when he got the better of favourite Lord Of The Sea in the final furlong in the Storm Tracker Plate, and followed it up to spoil the the same trainer's lucrative lucrative gamble for a double when he powered Dibaba, trained by Sanjay Kolse, to a well-earned half-length victory over favourite Time Of My Life (Neeraj Rawal up).
