Veteran actor Satish Kaushik is excited to make a comeback to TV, which he feels is going through a great phase.
The 'Philip's Top Ten' actor, who is returning to small screen after a gap of 16 years with Star Plus show 'Sumit Sambhaal Lega', said he could not say no to the offer as he wanted to do a TV role. It is the Indian adaptation of American TV sitcom 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.
"Television is going through great period. I came to know that the channel is adapting this show and when they told me how professionally they are making it, I got excited," Kaushik said.
A NSD graduate, the 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' star said he enjoyed working on TV.
"I come from a theatre background and this kind of working environment suits my sensibilities best where you can really craft your roles. I had some other plans but I decided to give my nine to ten months to this show," he said.
