Scarlett Johansson raises thousands for Scott Stringer's mayoral campaign
Scarlett Johansson has given thousands of dollars to Manhattan Borough President and possible mayoral candidate Scott Stringer, according to reports.
The 27-year-old actress is said to have offered her star power to the campaign and made the maximum contribution of 4,950 dollars to Stringer's presumptive mayoral campaign.
"We're grateful for her energy and support she's given to the campaign," the New York Daily News quoted Stringer finance director Catherine Butler as saying.
"And we're grateful to her ongoing involvement," she added. Johansson hosted two fund-raisers for Stringer in the fall.
