A caller had called 911 to alarm the cops about violence at Gomez's house, reported Ace showbiz. The caller had informed the cops in false frantic mode that the 20-year-old's father has shot her mother with a gun and that he was threatening to burn down the house.
This fake call was received by police just hours after they got a similar hoax call informing about a break-in at Timberlake's home. They said four men have broke into 32-year-old's house and two shots were fired.
The intruders then took off after leaving a box with red blinking lights. Police officers were rushing to both scenes but found nothing happened. The incident has occurred just a day after Rihanna's residence in LA was swatted.
Gomez and Timberlake have joined the list of celebrities like P Diddy, Paris Hilton and the Kardashian family, who have been targeted in the similar hoax emergency calls this year. FBI has launched investigation into the matter, but no arrest has been made so far.
