According to sources, the singer fired Mandy and Brian Teefey as her managers last month. The artist’s mother and step-father had served in this capacity for Gomez ever since her big break at Disney.

So, why did Selena cut them loose now? Sources allege that Gomez felt she had outgrown their influence and is now mature enough for a true professional manager. But let’s get real, people. Like most things Selena Gomez these days, this comes down to Justin Bieber.

Selena’s family and friends have been against her reconciliation with her fellow singer ever since the two started to hang out again earlier this year.

Some loved ones are even planning some kind of anti-Bieber invention to try and talk some dating sense into Gomez.

It’s unknown at the moment who Selena wants to represent her, but her parents are reportedly unhappy about their firing.
