According to Versova Police, "Bhanji's son lodged a missing complaint at 2 am on Monday. He informed us that Chaya went out at 6 pm on Sunday and had not returned since then. We have registered a missing complaint."

Incidentally, the elections for the mayor of the city will be held tomorrow. Bhanji's son suspect it to be a case of kidnapping. "We have sent her pictures to all the police stations and hospitals. As of now we can't say whether it is a kidnapping case. We are investigating the matter," police said.
