They used to kill their associates if they would try to form their own gang. Delhi police have arrested two drug-peddlers in this connection from Kamla Market area of central Delhi. The arrested accused allegedly killed an aide in front of Kamla Market police station on August 21 and had been on the run after the incident. Cops arrested them, acting on a tip-off. The official said that one country-made pistol, along with five live cartridges, were recovered from their possession.

Police account
According to the police, the accused have been identified as Gulab, alias Mamu, and Ebrahim, alias Gutwa. On August 21 they brutally killed a drug peddler named Aslam Ali outside the Kamla Market police station. The deceased reportedly used to work for them but after a recent argument, he was trying to form his own gang.

The official said they had arrested their two associates Sanjay and Kapil recently. "On October 30, police got a tip off that Mamu and Gutwa will come to Kamla market area to eliminate a drug peddler. A police team was immediately formed and a trap was laid. Police apprehended both the accused and recovered a 0.32 bore country-made loaded pistol along with five live cartridges," said a police official.

Punishment for rising up
During interrogation, Mamu and Gutwa disclosed that they killed Aslam Ali on August 21 just because he tried to form his own gang. And if any of their aides tried to form their own gang ever, they would eliminate them. They confessed that they had planned to kill one of their aides on October 30. "The case has been registered under appropriate sections and further investigation is on," a senior police official said.
