Aguero marked his return to action with two well-taken goals for Pep Guardiola's league leaders after serving a three-game ban for throwing an elbow in last month's victory over West Ham.
The Argentinian striker opened the scoring in the ninth minute and he made it 2-0, 25 minutes from time before Raheem Sterling beat Lukasz Fabianski in the 77th minute at the Liberty Stadium as City beat Swansea for the second time in a week after their EFL Cup success.
Everton stunned
Junior Stanislas proved Everton's bogeyman for the second season running as his stunning goal earned Bournemouth a 1-0 Premier League.
The former West Ham United winger had netted a 98th-minute goal to earn Bournemouth a 3-3 draw in this fixture last season and he proved the difference again with a fine long-range strike in the first half.
Liverpool win 5-1
Jurgen Klopp disproved his own words of warning as Liverpool crushed Hull City 5-1 to climb into the top four of the Premier League.
