Diego Costa, Luis Suarez, Radamel Falcao
Luis Suarez
Suarez's latest indiscretion at the World Cup earned him a four-month playing ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini, but that didn't dissuade Barca from spending a reported £75 million on the EPL Player of the Year last season. He won't be able to make his competitive debut until October, but could prove a decisive figure in the title race alongside Messi and Neymar.
Angel Di Maria
Desperate to halt the slide that saw them finish seventh in the Premier League last season, United signed Di Maria for a British-record fee of almost £60 million. The skilful Argentina winger made his debut in United's 0-0 draw at Burnley on Saturday.

Diego Costa
Costa, 25, joined Chelsea after firing Atletico Madrid to the La Liga title last season with 27 goals. Had a chastening experience at the World Cup with adopted country Spain, but has scored four goals in his first three appearances for Chelsea.
Cesc Fabregas
After a mixed three years with Barca, the former Arsenal captain Fabregas has returned to the EPL with Chelsea. The midfielder has been quick to settle, notably producing an exquisite assist for Andre Schuerrle in Chelsea's opening 3-1 victory at Burnley.
Radamel Falcao
United pulled off a stunning coup on the last day of the transfer window by signing prolific striker Falcao on a season-long loan. The 28-year-old could form a devastating three-pronged attack alongside Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
James Rodriguez
If Barca opted for the World Cup's bad boy, Real splashed out on the golden boy from Brazil by sealing the signature of the tournament's top scorer. Given Real's abundance of creative talent, Rodriguez may struggle to hold down a place in the playmaking role.
Toni Kroos
Another star from the World Cup, Kroos patrolled the midfield as Germany were crowned world champions. Supreme in possession, Kroos also offers a goal threat and is seen as the long-term successor to Xabi Alonso in the Real midfield.
