Scarperia (Italy): India's Gautam Singhania finished second in the drivers' standings of the Ferrari Challenge Series EU 2015 in the Coppa Shell category after a seventh-place finish in the last race of the series at Italy's Mugello Circuit on Saturday.

Singhania's closest competitor for the second place in the drivers' standings, Ineco-MP Racing's Erich Prinoth finished the race in sixth, but the Indian wrapped up the second spot with a seven-point lead over Prinoth.
Kessel Racing's Singhania started sixth on the grid on Saturday, one place ahead of Prinoth, before quickly moving up a place by the first lap. Championship leader Jacques Duyver, Singhania's teammate at Kessel Racing, started on pole but rapidly fell down the grid to third by the fifth lap as Kessel Racing's Rick Lovat moved into first place.

By the eighth lap, Singhania had moved into fourth place. However, an incident in the 10th lap involving teammate Duyver, when the two cars made slight contact, led to the Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Limited falling down to eighth place. The incident was investigated by race stewards, who later cleared both drivers of any wrongdoing.
Singhania eventually clawed his way to the seventh position, one position behind Prinoth. Autohaus Saggio's Dirk Adamski, who had started fourth on the grid, won the race while Duyver was second. Kessel Racing's Fons Scheltema was third.
