Mumbai: The quirky trailer of "Shaandaar", starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead, has bagged over two million views in just two days of its release.

The three-minute-12 second long trailer, which was launched on August 13 and currently boosts 2,101,254 views so far, oozes freshness and fun of a modern-day romance.

Alia, 22, took to Twitter to share her excitement on film's new achievement.

"More than 2 million views in less than 48 hours! Feel like giving you all a shaandaar kiss. hehehe #Shaandaar," she tweeted.

In the film, Shahid is playing a wedding planner, Jagjinder Joginder, who is organising the marriage function of Alia's sister.
Shahid's real life father Pankaj Kapur plays Alia's dad in the film. His half sister Sanah Kapoor makes her Bollywood
debut with the film, playing the bride in the destination wedding drama.

The 34-year-old newly married actor re-tweeted a post shared by Alia on reaching the milestone. "Aaaaah this is the #fastestshaandaarmillion! Wohooo thank you all you lovely lovely people #Shaandaar22ndOct," the tweet read.

"Shaandaar" is directed by "Queen" helmer Vikas Bahl and co-produced by Phantom Films, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Fox. It will hit theatres on October 22.
