If you haven't yet completed your Diwali shopping, head to the Raw Mango exhibition, where you will find an array of soft Chanderi sarees, dupattas and stoles designed by Sanjay Garg

Bringing the vibrant collection under Raw Mango -- a brand of contemporary Indian handwoven textiles crafted using traditional techniques -- Sanjay will be displaying vibrant and festive colours along with earth tones and deep hues in his collection.

Apart from the beautiful and simple designs, the highlight of the collection is the chidiya (sparrow) motif on the sarees. "I have noticed that we rarely see any sparrows around us these days. I created the motif on fabric to pay tribute to the beautiful bird," explains Sanjay. You will also spot Flamingo motifs on some of the sarees.
Sarees are considered one of the most beautiful Indian wear and Sanjay understands its nuances. Hence for the new age woman, who loves to dress up quick and smart, he has created designs on fine silk sarees so that it is free flowing and hassle free. "A lot of people avoid handloom sarees asu00a0 they have issues managing it. We created a soft silk Chanderi collection, which is comfortable. It doesn't stand stiff like the traditional ones." The collection includes soft chanderi (traditional) and silk chanderi.

Keeping the festive season in mind, the collection has many bright colours. For instance, you will find a lime green saree with a pink border. You will also find gold, yellow, pink and lots more to suit your style. They also have a wide colour range in dupattas, stoles and dress materials.

An interesting fact about the exhibition is that, it is not at a store, but at a beautiful heritage property. Speaking as to why he chose it, he says, "Varsha Talera (owner), has this nice heritage property, and her sensibility and style matches the kind of collection I make. I have been getting so many enquiries as to where can we buy your collection and I thought this place was an ideal choice."

So drape yourself with some fine handcrafted collections and head to the Raw Mango exhibition to experience festivity with a difference.
