After the controversy surrounding the release of Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' that featured Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, reports suggest Pakistani actor Ali Zafar has been replaced by Tahir Raj Bhasin in Gauri Shinde's 'Dear Zindagi' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt.

On October 26, mid-day had reported that Ali Zafar's part in the Alia Bhatt-Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Dear Zindagi' has been snipped. Co-producers Karan Johar and SRK agreed to not invite unwanted trouble after the 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' fracas.

Ali Zafar was supposed to play one of Alia Bhatt's lovers in the film.

Now, a report in BollywoodLife says Ali Zafar has been replaced by 'Mardaani' actor Tahir Raj Bhasin in the film.

The website quotes a source from the film set saying, "Yesterday, a dance shoot was underway of the film with Alia Bhatt and Tahir. It's an Arijit Singh number."

However, the film's release date is only three weeks away. 'Dear Zindagi' is slated to release on November 25.

'Dear Zindagi' revolves around Kaira, a budding cinematographer in search of a perfect life. A chance encounter helps her gain new perspective, as she discovers that happiness is all about finding comfort in life's imperfections.

The film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi and Aditya Roy Kapur.
