The first season of the series is a co-production between Reliance Animation and Accel Animation Studio while the second season is between Reliance Animation and Magic N Colors. Six times iEMMY award winning writer Jeffrey Scott has penned down the scripts for "Shaktimaan" in animation.
"It took us almost a-year-and-half in the pre-production. The greatest challenge was to decide how one should plot such an immensely popular content into animation for today's kids and also for an entire generation of audience who will surely watch it for its nostalgic value," said Ashish S.K, CEO of Reliance Animation and the producer of the show. The show went on air May 7. It comes Monday to Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Commenting on Shaktimaan's new avatar in animation, Mukesh Khanna, the original creator of the content, said: "I have been talking to Ashish since last 10 years at least from the time he first approached me with a proposition to turn 'Shaktimaan' into animation."
He added said that "Shaktimaan" in animation is nothing short of magic. "When you watch it, the first reaction that comes is 'Wow', is this really done in India? I think this series has given 'Shaktimaan' a status of immortality since that is the beauty of animation," he added.
