Kapoor, who suffers from chronic renal failure, has to undergo dialysis at least thrice a week.
The veteran, whose condition has been complicated by low blood pressure and an infection, is being monitored closely by a team of specialists at the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU).
Kapoor's son Aditya Raj said, "His condition is stable now. He has been kept in the ICU so that doctors can constantly monitor his health. He has been speaking with his family members."
Dr Bhupendra Gandhi, a nephrologist who has been attending to Kapoor, said, "He has been on dialysis for the past few years. His blood pressure dipped yesterday, as a result of which we put him on ventilator support.
