On a high
It is always a good feeling to be in form. I am happy with the runs I have been scoring and hope to notch up some big scores in the ongoing tournament. It’s been good so far. Hopefully, I will score a hundred in one of the matches.
Playing with Kumar Sangakkara is a wonderful experience. He is a great captain and never loses his cool whatever the situation might be. All the youngsters in the team are learning a lot from senior pros like Sangakkara and Dale Steyn. As a team, we bond very well. So, I am having good fun.
In the city of Nizams
Hyderabad is a fabulous city. I have been doing some sightseeing in my spare time. We went to all the palaces in and around the city. I also like the Charminar, which is right in the middle of Hyderabad. The people are also very warm, hospitable and cricket-crazy (laughs out loud). The food is fantastic as well. I love the biryanis and kormas. As I enjoy spicy food, Hyderabadi cuisine is a sheer delight for me.
My fiancée Esha is travelling with me. Spending time with her is a great way to de-stress after a hectic game. We go out for shopping, sightseeing and dinners together. We also have small team get-togethers where the guys indulge in some informal conversations and a bit of partying. But no wild nights.
I am very fond of tattoos. The one I have on my arm is that of a tiger. I love tigers as they signify power, grace and strength.
