Shilpa Shetty to take on Aamir Khan

Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra are all set to come up with a new show called Soney Ka Dil, which will feature ordinary people who have gone out of their way to help others in need. Says a source, “Not only will Shilpa produce this show, she will also be hosting it. The creative team has conducted extensive research already; and Shilpa will soon shortlist a few unsung heroes from across the country. These are people who have helped the underprivileged.

She will also focus on the causes these people have supported and work towards spreading awareness about the same.”

The source adds that co-producer Raj Kundra is currently in talks with a few TV channels to air the show. “One cannot deny the fact that this show shares some similarities with Aamir Khan’s show, Satyamev Jayate,” says the source.

However, a crewmember from Soney Ka Dil denies this. “Although the show will throw light on social causes, this will be completely different from Aamir’s show. We will make that it has its own identity. Apart from discussing social problems, our show will honour the person who has worked for people’s betterment; we are looking at giving them gold medals/ coins. We will also promote the NGO, and both Shilpa and Raj will be donating money from their own foundation as well,” says the crewmember.

When contacted, Raj confirmed the news. He said, “It is our attempt to bring into the limelight individuals with truly golden hearts. We have been researching for the past six months and so far, we have found 13 people from different parts of India.”

He adds that production work has already begun and a music video is currently being shot for the show. “Called Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, it has been sung by Altamash Faridi and composed by Palash Muchhal,” says Kundra.
