So, Amar Singh was denied bail by a Delhi court and remanded to judicial custody until September 19 in the cash-for-votes scam. Tongue firmly in cheek, journalist Sucheta Dalal tweeted: 'Will he now seek court permission to attend standing committee meetings on Lokpal?' Sanjeev Miglani described this development as the 'end of a meteoric career on the greasy pole.' Kumar Maitrey created this unlikely scenario: 'Amar Singh sent to his suite at Tihar, where Kanimozhi will prepare dinner, Raja will be in charge of inviting guests and Kalmadi is penning a welcome song!'

'Things that don't make sense' prompted examples including 'people who don't love God', 'shampoo for bald people', 'circular pizza that comes in square boxes', 'when someone says you want to have your cake and eat it too - who buys cake just to have it sit there?' and, simply, 'people'.
