This actress spoke ill of an industry 'friend' and contemporary to convince a condom brand to sign her for a commercial
This pretty actress, who has a couple of critically acclaimed films in her kitty, was recently offered to become the face of a condom brand. During their meeting, the company officials made a passing mention of other actresses that they were also considering for their ad campaign. When she heard her so-called friend — known for mostly doing offbeat films — was also on their list, she was dismissive of their choice.
A source says, "This particular brand wanted a fresh-faced actress for their campaign. Though they had approached a few glam girls, they had zeroed in on two actresses who often behave like BFFs for the cameras. The unconventional one is known to speak her mind and had shown interest in the offer. Later, the company official met her contemporary and felt her typical Indian woman personality will suit their brand."
When the team of brand officials mentioned that they had also spoken to the unconventional actress, they were surprised to hear this heroine speak ill of her. "She said the former was not a good choice for their brand in a bid to clinch the deal. She even said she is more popular than her contemporary and the common man will connect more with her. It was clear that she was keen to bag this endorsement as she does not have many brands in her kitty," the source adds.
