Shri Shri disciples walk in support of Ramdev
To support yoga guru Baba Ramdev's agitation at the Ramleela Ground in Delhi to bring back black money from foreign banks, members of Shri Shri Ravishankar's Art of Living (AOL) group in the city came in large numbers to join a rally from Balgandharva Rangmandir on Jangali Maharaj Road to Savarkar Smarak on Karve Road yesterday morning.
The rally saw over 200 activists of India Against Corruption (IAC), Bharat Swabhiman Trust (BST) and Brashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan Trust (BVJAT). Dada Joshi, a veteran freedom fighter from BST-IAC, welcomed the AOL participation with a new slogan: “Bharat Maa Ke Teen Sitare, Shri Shri, Baba, Anna Hazare! (Mother India has three stars, Shri Shri, Baba and Anna Hazare).
” Three musketeers “Earlier it was mainly Baba Ramdev and Hazare who were linked with the agitation, but now Shri Shri Ravishankar is also playing a major role in the movement,” Joshi said. “We have three musketeers who are fighting against corruption, black money and pressing for the passage of an effective Jan Lokpal bill.”
Kumar Solanki, an activist from AOL, said, “We have received an SMS from Bangalore, the headquarters of Shri Shri Ravishankar said. We have circulated the message among our active members as well as those who follow the principles of AOL. In today’s rally, at least 30 per cent of the activists were representing AOL.”
Baba to guide stir
Rakesh Patil, Suhas Shinde and Brahmesh Joshi were were among the prominent names involved in the rally. Deepak Bharadiya, coordinator, India Against Corruption, said, “The agitation along with AOL will continue in the future all over the country, including Pune. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev will guide us on the line of action against the government, which is refusing to bring back black money and pass the Jan Lokpal bill. We might intensify the agitation if Baba goes to jail.”
