Apart from attacking toll plazas in and around the city, MNS party workers stormed several check nakas across the state, including Pune and Sangli. "Raj saheb had told us to first appeal to the toll naka authorities to shut down, and if they don't agree, then shut them down in MNS style.

A similar shutdown drive was undertaken at Urse and Somatane toll plaza on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, under the leadership of MNS Pimpari-Chinchwad chief Sanjay Markad. Protests were also held at toll plazas along National Highway (NH) 4. MNS chief Raj Thackeray visited Urse toll naka to scrutinise the effective implementation of the protest.
