Shuttler Sindhu in Dutch Open final
Teenage shuttler PV Sindhu moved closer to her maiden Grand Prix title after she defeated world No 11 and top seed Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand to reach the final of the Dutch Open in Almere City on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old youngster won 21-14 15-21 21-13 in a keenly-contested match. Sindhu had earlier shocked world No 22 Juan Gu of Singapore in the opening match to create a flutter. The Indian now faces world No 19 and second seed Netherlands' Jie Yao in the summit clash. Sindhu trains under Pullela Gopichand.
