Siddhivinayak gears up for Angarki Sankashthi

Preparations for Angarki Sankashthi at Siddhivinayak temple were in full flow, with authorities erecting a huge 50,000 sq-ft pandal to mark the occasion today.

Darshan for the devotees will be available throughout the day, except for the two hours in the evening from 7.30 to 9.30 for pooja and aarti ceremonies. Apart from the 65 CCTV cameras inside the temple, an additional 16 cameras have been installed outside the temple.u00a0



Around 600 extra volunteers will be deployed to manage crowds. “We have taken all necessary measures to counter any unseen problems, as the crowd expected tomorrow will exceed 16 lakh.

Security arrangements are also in place,” said Satish Mali, deputy executive officer of the temple. The right turn going towards Siddhivinayak temple from Gokhale road will also be closed due to security reasons. u00a0
