It’s not uncommon for production houses to kill off their main lead to take the story forward. In Meri Saasu Maa’s (Mumtaz Saba Productions) case, the lead played by Pearl V Puri aka Sattu will be killed off and his wife Hiba Nawab will be paired opposite Sidharth Arora.

Sid was last seen in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha 2, Doli Armaanon Ki and a few other popular shows. The actor will walk in as a street smart guy, who is rich, commands respect and will have a lot of power. He will fall for Hiba, who will still be mourning for Sattu.

Now the twist in the tale is that Pearl is not exactly exiting from the show. Sources claim, “There have been a lot of issues over Pearl and Hiba’s proximity on the sets. But that’s not the reason he is killed off. The makers will bring him back to scene but that will come much later.”

Another source insists that the production house was not very comfortable with the on set romance between the leads and hence one of them had to bow out.

Guess that is something we will soon figure out, if and when Pearl re-enters the show.
