A signal failure during rush hour delayed suburban train services on the Western line in Mumbai this evening.

Signal failure hits train services on Mumbai's Western line

Suburban train service on the Western Railway line in the metropolis was disrupted during the evening rush hour on Thursday severely inconveniencing commuters due to a signal failure between Santacruz and Bandra station.


All services in the city are running again after being halted for about 40 minutes after a signal failure about 9 pm. Though the signal was repaired by around 9.35 pm, rail commuters had to face delays of over 45 minutes.


The technical glitch had a cascading affect with commuters traveling towards Borivali delayed inordinately.
