Did you know Sir Ben Kingsley’s real name is Krishna Pandit Bhanji? And that he is of Gujarati origin? Well, he is. And the actor who once essayed Mahatma Gandhi in an Oscar-winning film is being requested to visit his home state for a screening of his upcoming Hollywood film.
Apparently, a NRI association in London has asked him to spare some time for the event.
According to a source, “The group wants to hold a special screening of his forthcoming action film for their friends and family in their hometown. Since Sir Ben Kingsley shares a Gujarati connection they want him to be available for the same.”
The knighted actor is yet to confirm his presence though. “Most probably, he will visit Gujarat since he has an amazing fan following in his hometown,” adds the source.
