Six bomb disposal squad members injured by detonator explosion in Srinagar

The injured have been admitted to the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for treatment. Some of them were operated upon for grave injuries. 

Deputy Inspector General of Police of Kashmir’s Central Range Afatul Mujtub said: “Six police personnel have been injured. They were removing the detonator of a grenade to deprime it.

While defusing it, the detonator exploded, which has led to minor injuries to the six personnel of the BDS (Bomb Disposal Squad).”
