Sona Mohapatra on her 'Talaash' song 'Jiya Lage Na'

Sona Mohapatra says she's maha kicked about the kind of compliments her song 'Jiya Lage Na' from the latest Aamir Khan-starrer has been getting.

“This is the kind of music that’s close to my heart. It’s a raag-based song, something that you don’t hear very often in our Hindi film music these days. People in our country are in love with their roots and it’s rare to hear a song like this in Bollywood that merges the Thumri space with an urban soundscape.

I have got an overwhleming feedback for it and it feels great to be appreciated for something that’s so close to me as a singer and a person,” Sona told CS. All we can say is, well sung, Sona!
