Sonam Kapoor has begun shooting for the biopic of Neerja Bhanot, a Pan Am chief purser who was gunned down by terrorists when Flight 73 was hijacked in Karachi in 1986.
Sonam feels humbled to be a part of the biopic, which is ace photographer Atul Kasbekar's debut production.
"Day 1 of #NeerajBhanot thank you @foxstarhindi and @BlingLive for making this possible... Let the journey begin! #nerves #excitement #humbled (sic)," the 29-year-old actress tweeted on Sunday.
Kasbekar wished for good luck for the film and tweeted: "#NeerjaBhanot Her story begins today... Wish us luck."
Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Dia Mirza and former Balaji Telefilms CEO Tanuj Garg also wished good luck for the film, which also features Shabana Azmi.
Riteish wrote: "@atulkasbekar congrats my friend -this debut was waiting to happen Mr producer."
