Here's an addition to the singing siblings club in Bollywood. Sonu Nigam's sister, Teesha, is set to release her first single, 'Katna Nai', establishing herself as an independent artiste.

Sonu, who introduced the original track to Teesha, is elated with her rendition. "The song will blow your mind. She has sung it with such panache," he says.

Apart from lending her voice to the video, which is set to release tomorrow, Teesha also features in it. "Katna Nai is a famous track by Sajjad Ali (Pakistani musician). Mine is a revamped version of the original. It's a romantic song, but has a haunting undertone to it," she says.

While Sonu is a celebrated name in the Bollywood music circle, he confesses his sister isn't like him. "She is very different from me and that's her plus point — a newer generation, younger vibe and immense talent. She likes to take it slow. She sings like a monster," he says.

Teesha is currently working on other independent projects of different genres. "Doing independent music is more fun, as you get to work your way. Hence, your authentic self is more evident in your work," she signs off.
