Sourav Kothari storms into World Billiards Championship final

Sourav Kothari of India wrapped up four games on the trot with complete command to defeat his fellow countryman Siddharth Parikh 7-5, entering the finals of the 2017 LiteTask World Billiards Championship being played at the Northern Snooker Center

Sourav Kothari of India wrapped up four games on the trot with complete command to defeat his fellow countryman Siddharth Parikh 7-5, entering the finals of the 2017 LiteTask World Billiards Championship being played at the Northern Snooker Center.



In the other semi-final played between two former world champions, Dave Causier of England defeated Rupesh Shah of India by 7-4.
This is the first time that Kothari reached the finals of the World Billiards.


He had earlier, reached the finals of the long-up format of the IBSF World Billiards Championship last year held in Bangalore but lost to Peter Gilchrist of Singapore in the finals. The final will be a best of 15 games between Kothari and Causier.
