Sourav Kothari of India wrapped up four games on the trot with complete command to defeat his fellow countryman Siddharth Parikh 7-5, entering the finals of the 2017 LiteTask World Billiards Championship being played at the Northern Snooker Center.

In the other semi-final played between two former world champions, Dave Causier of England defeated Rupesh Shah of India by 7-4.
This is the first time that Kothari reached the finals of the World Billiards.
He had earlier, reached the finals of the long-up format of the IBSF World Billiards Championship last year held in Bangalore but lost to Peter Gilchrist of Singapore in the finals. The final will be a best of 15 games between Kothari and Causier.
