The one-sided affair began with an appeal for hand-ball against Colaba Municipal’s Maruti Chavan inside the penalty box. The penalty was awarded and Utkarsh Chavan scored from the spot to put St Xavier’s in the lead.u00a0
From there on, it was all St Xavier’s as the hand-ball incident put the Colaba boys on the backfoot. The Xaverians launched several attacks in the oppositions’ penalty box before Omkar Ugade made it 2-0.

It was nothing but over for the Colaba Municipal when Brendon Sequeira put the ball over the goalkeeper to take a 3-0 lead going into half-time.
The second half saw Colaba boys creating a few chances, but that didn’t last long. Just when it looked like Colaba Municipal won’t concede any more goals, St Xavier’s captain Viraj Dahanukar scored the fourth goal. The winners hit the final nail in the coffin when the skipper scored his second goal and sealed the fate of the match.
